Staging: Rock Solid

When McDonald's Restaurants of Canada Limited held their 2005 National Owner/Operator Convention in St. John's, Newfoundland,
they chose Videoscope as a partner to stage the week-long event.

The set was designed and built in Toronto and trucked down East to bring the spirit of Newfoundland right into the Ballroom: complete with a working lighthouse, icebergs, rocks, ocean skyline and appropriate Maritime scenic elements.

The sails flanking the lighthouse even doubled as projection screens. Lighting changes set the atmosphere for business
presentations, finale party, and a moving presentation from Ronald McDonald
House to a local family.

While utilizing local talent and equipment wherever possible to effectively manage the budget, a full transport truck was necessary to bring the essential equipment from Toronto.

The Folsom matrix graphic switcher was one of the vital components.
It enabled us to display multiple inputs to four independent outputs.
Displaying English and French graphics simultaneously, playing back video, opening IMAG windows and keying Logos was as smooth as a Newfoundland breeze.
Attendees quickly realized that Videoscope's Staging services are truly ROCK SOLID!
